The Inspired Office Meets Social Media

Not only does she have a hot business, Kacy Paide, owner of The Inspired Office, is leveraging social media like mad and it’s paying off:

  • She successfully used Facebook to post messages on friend’s walls about her nomination in The Daily Candy, a site that showcases new and exciting things related to life and productivity.  In a matter of days, votes and words of encouragement poured in from dozens of people.  Two of her friends posted the same link on Twitter and on their Facebook status updates.  One friend had over 1000 friends!
  • Her best friend’s, brother’s friend  saw her posting on Facebook and reached out to inquire about building his venture capital/advisory portfolio, thinking that her business,  The Inspired Office, could make a great franchise.
  • Contemplating about dropping a segment of her e-newsletter, Kacy twittered about it and received great feedback from fellow business owners in a matter of minutes.
  • Kacy started her own social network on Ning and is using  Ask 500 People to gather opinions on business ideas.

Kacy continues to send out a weekly e-newsletter to her 350 subscribers.   She describes her email marketing campaign as being “surprisingly unquantifiable.”   ” I love the discipline of writing each week, ” says Kacy, ” I feel good about the credibility I am building with my archives.”

Kacy’s story is a great example of how social media can be integrated into an  existing marketing plan.
